Maple Ridge is a progressive suburban community of Metro Vancouver with a population of approximately 82,000 people. The city has average household incomes well in excess of the provincial average, at $110,017 per annum.
The Official Community Plan (“OCP”) and Area Plan guiding future development in the area designate the intersection of 240 Street and Dewdney Trunk Road as a “Community Commercial Node.” The intent of this designation is to service the growing demand for daily-needs shopping in the area. With the addition of Shoppers Drug Mart, as well as the existing Save-on-Foods located across the street, there will be a critical mass of retail in place to service residents of East Maple Ridge.
